GRIEVING PROCESS is a visual EP that was released in March of 2019. It picks up right where SHUCKS left off, continuing the genre-bending SHUCKS CINEMATIC WORLD storyline that continues over 10 parts, however, this time, with a full visual and musical reinvention.

GRIEVING PROCESS is more than a soundtrack. It’s a full-circle narrative experience where every beat, lyric, and visual sequence is cut from the same creative cloth.
Each beat on GRIEVING PROCESS was personally produced by celebrated artist and filmmaker Tyler ‘Ty Bru’ Brueilly. Aside from his emotionally gritty filmography, you might be familiar with some of his musical projects, such as “I Lost An Angel In L.A. or The Complexity of Human Emotions”.
His creative contribution, as always, doesn’t stop there, though. Ever the hands-on creative lead, Ty Brueilly took on the cinematography, editing, special effects, and costume design for the film, among other aspects. This has led the SHUCKS CINEMATIC WORLD to have outstanding continuity not only in vision and thematic depth but in how the audience perceives the new and remembers the old narrative.

If SHUCKS explored ritualistic self-destruction and gave us a look into psychological unraveling… This time, GRIEVING PROCESS dives more specifically into parts of a particular psychological journey. We go through the emotional stages of grief, including exposition, bargaining, anger, depression, and acceptance.
The project stars Marshall Alexander, the latest rising artist to be signed to Mightier Than The Sword Records. He is a recurring creative figure in the cinematic world, too.

In this film, Alexander adds a new color (quite literally in the color grade, too) to the story world. With a vibrant musical sound and powerful but equally groovy melody to his intense rap flow, we dive into his lyricism without hesitation.
At first, there’s a playfulness to his scenes, but at the same time, he gives us ‘don’t mess with me energy. However, as the film progresses through each grief stage, the bass-filled beats get heavier, the flow gets harder, and the overall mood of the film gets darker as we spiral further.
One of the standout moments that you might not notice if you’re not paying attention is when Ty Bru comes in with his rap parts to give us a refreshed perspective. His unique flow, as always, is rhythmical and intentional, adding weight to the story.

The film’s end leaves us on an optimistic and nostalgic note as we reach the acceptance phase, giving us a satisfying conclusion with an open enough end to bring curiosity to the next installment.
Just as GRIEVING PROCESS begins to resonate, you’ll already be able to look forward to the next part of the story. The next installment, 7EVENTH 7IRKLE, is currently wrapping up production and is looking at being released around Labor Day (September 1st).

The beauty of this visual EP is that not only can you enjoy it as a film, but the soundtrack has been made available for streaming, too.
