K-pop trio IN A MINUTE released their first EP, “BGM: How We Rise - Play,” on Aug. 25. The group - which consists of members Lee Jae Jun, Kim Jun Tae, and Kim Hyun Yeop - has been releasing small single albums since their debut in March 2025, and now fans can enjoy a different listening experience with their new EP.
Led by the title track, “How We Do,” the EP showcases a variety of dance and R&B sounds that conjure up nostalgia vibes of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Even the music video for “How We Do” will make viewers feel as if they had been transported to the Y2K era.
IN A MINUTE members all participated in songwriting for the EP. In a behind-the-scenes video, leader Jae Jun shares that the members listened to a lot of music from the 2000s for inspiration and ultimately put their own spin on the concepts from that time period.
“BGM: How We Rise - Play” consists of four songs total. Aside from the title track, it also includes new songs “Press Play,” “5ive,” and “At Dawn.” In particular, “5ive” is a special track dedicated to their fandom, Inning.
Jun Tae adds, “Since this is our first EP album, it contains a variety of songs. I hope that each song brings out a variety of emotions for our fans.”
This release is also meant to put forth the group’s direction and goals. Jae Jun says, “I hope that when you look at this album, you’ll think, ‘Ah, this is what they want to do, and this is how sincere they are.’”
IN A MINUTE officially debuted on March 15, 2025. The trio consists of members who had all previously been a part of other groups and worked alongside each other. Jae Jun is best known for being a member of C-Clown from 2012 to 2015. He and Jun Tae debuted in Trei in 2019 and later formed the duo JT&Marcus. Then, from 2022 to 2024, Jae Jun and Hyun Yeop were active as members of TAN, a group formed on the survival show Wild Idol.
