Da Hye is taking a big step in her solo career with her first-ever EP - “Prologue at the End.” The former BESTie member is not only showcasing her incredible talent but also her sweet and sexy side in this new comeback.
Firstly, the EP’s title track, “Lemon Cherry Bomb,” is a catchy pop song with flirty lyrics and infectious hooks. In the music video, fans can see Da Hye bring “Lemon Cherry Bomb” to life with seductive choreography and playful scenes alongside a male actor. It’s a release that truly encapsulates the feeling one gets at the end of an adventure-filled summer.
Accompanying the title track are three other songs: “Race,” “Sick of Love (feat. Youha),” and “VOTD (Day of).” The album has a cohesive R&B sound that showcases Da Hye’s amazing vocals and gives fans an enjoyable, relaxing experience.
From 2013 to 2017, Da Hye was active as the main dancer and main rapper of K-pop girl group BESTie. They had moderate success with singles such as “Thank You Very Much” and “Hot Baby.”
She became a solo artist in 2020 with her debut track, “Poison.” In the following years, she released more songs such as “Bad Blood,” “The First Ending,” “As I Am,” “Cherry Road,” and “Deja Vu.”
In 2024, Da Hye also gained attention for her appearance on the third season of “EXchange” (also called “Transit Love”), a dating show about pairs of exes living in a house together. There, she revealed that she had been in a relationship with former idol trainee Son Dong Jin for 13 years. Although the two of them separated prior to filming the show, they later revealed they got back together afterwards and are currently engaged.
