This drama was interesting in the beginning but became too convoluted with absurd plot twists and over-the-top storylines.

Granted, these are some of the key aspects of any good makjang (over-the-top) K-Drama. However, I lost my respect for this drama after Gemma (played by Korean actress So E Hyun) decided that marrying her actual love interest’s brother was the right way to get revenge.

There are lines of morality that most of society can agree on and this one went too far out of line. After that the story just got more and more ridiculous.

I also found it impossible to believe that even though Gemma’s mother hates her, she didn’t have an ounce of maternal sympathy towards her. Is maternal instinct not instinctive?

The whole show felt exaggerated and I only finished it to see how the circus would end.

If you have a high tolerance for exaggerated drama then you might actually enjoy this, though.
