Song Kang seriously redeemed himself in this role because I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only one who hated him after the role he played in "Nevertheless,". I know it was just a role but I guess that’s the power of his acting.
He went from an emotionally unavailable and manipulative player to being a sweet and passionate guy who wants to do his best at anything he puts his mind to in this new drama.

This lead couple casting was… interesting. Park Min Young and Song Kang were not a combination I saw coming but I ended up enjoying them on screen.

To be honest though, more than the actual couples, the relationships with their exes was more interesting and kept the drama fun to watch.
We also need to acknowledge that this drama represented everything that is wrong with staying friends with your ex. Everyone has their opinions on this but I felt like in the drama they still relied on their exes for emotional reasons when they should’ve relied on their partners.
The fact that Ha Kyung and Si Woo ran to their exes when they were having a hard time and needed advice, instead of speaking to each other about important issues was just questionable.
It would’ve been okay if their counseling sessions resulted in corrective action towards each other, but they just kept each other in the dark for the most part. It became frustrating to watch but was still entertaining.

I think the drama was very heavy on weather jargon, which I understand because they work at the Korean Meteorological Administration. However, most dramas don’t get as into detail about the work the characters do because they’re too focused on actual conflict/drama between characters.
I think it might’ve made the drama less enjoyable for people who aren’t that interested in the weather but simultaneously could’ve been interesting for some. Personally, I zoned out for most of the work portions.

Despite what I’ve said so far, I actually really enjoyed the drama. It was refreshing in a sense and it was heartfelt.
What did you think of "Forecasting Love and Weather"?
